Standing Committee announces Slate for 9th Bishop of EDOR | St. Mark's Penn Yan

On November 20th, the Standing Committee released the slate of candidates for the next Episcopal bishop of Rochester. Their accompanying statement is below.

Dear Friends,

On Friday, November 17th, 2023, the Standing Committee confirmed the slate of nominees for the Ninth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester. You can find the announcement and learn much more about the candidates on the Diocese of Rochester Bishop Search website.

The petition process by which candidates can be added to the slate is now open and will close at 4:30 pm Eastern Time (ET) on December 6, 2023. The petition process guidelines and forms are available here on the Bishop Search website.

You will be able to meet the candidates during the Diocesan Tours, tentatively scheduled for the week of January 22nd, 2024. The Electing Convention is scheduled for Saturday, February 24th, 2024, and the consecration of the new bishop is scheduled for July 13, 2024.
