Congregational Care

Our Congregational Care Ministry is a compassionate and supportive program that provides emotional and spiritual care to congregation members during challenging times, such as illness, grief, or life transitions. Our pastoral ministry also involves visiting church members, counseling, prayer support, and connecting individuals with resources for their specific needs, fostering a caring and nurturing church community.

We care for each other at Saint Mark’s in many ways. At least once a month we have healing prayers during our Sunday worship service. We have a very active Prayer Circle who pray for others during vulnerable times. We also have a Purls Knitting Ministry, which provides prayer shawls for those who are ill or in crisis.

When people are not able to attend worship and other functions in the parish, our Congregational Care Ministry helps enliven their connection to our congregation. We provide phone calls, visits, and cards to those unable to leave their homes. We take Holy Communion to those who wish to receive the sacrament and keep them informed about activities and how other members are faring.
